Sawyer Camp Farmers CIG Platform
A production web platform for my family's agricultural initiative in Cameroon, combining organization storytelling, structured content, supporter flows, and experimental AI tools for farming use cases.
The Challenge
What Needed to Change
The organization needed more than a brochure site. It needed a credible digital home for public trust, clearer communication, product and project visibility, donation support, membership and volunteer intake, and room to explore practical AI assistance for smallholder farmers.
The Approach
How It Was Built
I built a Next.js platform with structured product, project, and blog content; service-backed contact, newsletter, donation, and onboarding flows; and an AI Lab featuring crop-planning and plant-diagnosis tools connected to external APIs.
Project Context
Sawyer Camp Farmers CIG is my family's agricultural initiative in Banga Bakundu, Cameroon. This was a real organization build with genuine community, operational, and reputational stakes, not speculative portfolio filler.
What the Platform Includes
The application goes beyond mission storytelling. It includes product catalog pages, project and article publishing, donation checkout, membership and volunteer onboarding, contact and newsletter flows, farm location mapping, and supporter-facing calls to action across the site.
Architecture Direction
The frontend uses Next.js App Router, Chakra UI, and Redux Toolkit, with structured content modules driving dynamic routes. External API services support newsletter and contact actions, PayPal payment flows, and AI features such as crop-planning jobs and image-based plant analysis.
Studio Relevance
This project demonstrates Sawyer Camp DevLab's ability to build serious software for real-world, domain-specific organizations by combining content architecture, public trust UX, third-party integrations, and carefully scoped AI features inside one coherent platform.
